We Cull Animals Who Do This Sort Of Thing

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Eight days after allegedly being sexually battered while passed out at a party, and then humiliated by online photos of the assault, 15-year-old Audrie Pott posted on Facebook that her life was ruined, "worst day ever," and hanged herself.
For the next eight months, her family struggled to figure out what happened to their soccer loving, artistic, horse crazy daughter, whose gentle smile, long dark hair and shining eyes did not bely a struggling soul.
It took eight months eh?
I bet it didn't.
Read further:
"After an extensive investigation that we have conducted on behalf of the family, there is no doubt in our minds that the victim, then only 15 years old, was savagely assaulted by her fellow high school students while she lay on a bed completely unconscious."
Allard said students used cell phones to share photos of the attack, and that the images went viral.
It took eight months to know this?
The hell it did.  I bet it didn't take 8 minutes.
I'll go further: This sort of crap is an endemic part of what passes for "school" these days.  But the difference between the local hog farm and school is that at the local hog farm the hog who decides to start eating the other hogs in the pen is immediately shot by the farmer.
At the local school the "pretty snowflakes" are instead coddled and "protected" from the just consequences of their actions.
This sort of crap happens all across the country.  We make an utter mockery of peaceable conduct and the law in doing so, and it's not a new problem.  A huge percentage of the teen suicides have at their root various forms of bullying behavior, including events like this.
But remember folks, nobody committed any crimes, and when lawless crap is overlooked throughout society this is one of the consequences.  We play "bleeding heart liberal" all the time, letting people out who should never see the outside of a prison again and refuse to prosecute those who are "politically special", and on top of it all those pretty snowflakes in our schools who are in fact predatory jackasses are repeatedly given passes.
And then this happens.
This is not a singular story folks, of one teen or of one isolated incident.  You need only to open your Hell-Frozen eyes to see this sort of crap all around you.
Let me give you my point of view:
If you sit next to, sell gasoline, food or some service to, or otherwise associate with a school administrator or teacher who has knowledge of any sort of violence against a student that would be a criminal offense if performed upon an adult, and who has not demanded that this act be prosecuted as the crime that it is, you are personally complicit in this outcome in each and every case where it occurs.
Enough damnit.
