Americans will Curse Obama for Obamacare

Following the sequester debacle in which Obama and his cohorts were swiftly found to be lying through their teeth, his polling numbers have begun to fall and, folks you ain’t seen nothing yet.
As the realities and costs of the Affordable Healthcare Act—Obamacare—kick in, when he leaves office, he will be remembered for inflicting pain and suffering on Americans.
As the various aspects of Obamacarebecome active, the impact on everyone will reduce their income and increase their costs. In retrospect it will be seen as the largest poison pill any President or political party ever swallowed. Recall that Obamacarewas passed December 24, 2009, Christmas Eve, by a straight Democrat party vote, none of whom had even read the legislation.
The House passed the bill with a vote of 219 to 212 on March 21, 2010, with 34 Democrats and all 178 Republicans voting against it. At 2,000-plus pages, it has now been joined by thousands of pages more to implement it. It is a regulatory nightmare.
In January, the author of “Priceless: Curing the Healthcare Crisis”, John C. Goodman, wrote of Obamacare’s impact on your tax bill. “You will join other Americans in paying more than $500 billion in nineteen new types of taxes and fees over the next decade to fund health reform. Some of the new taxes will be indirect and will be passed on to you in the form of higher prices, higher premiums, or lower wages.”
As Americans address paying their 2012 income taxes, here are some of the new taxes that will afflict some or all of them at some point.
  • A tax on medical devices. This will cover “everything from surgical instruments and bedpans to wheelchairs and crutches. Even pacemakers and artificial hips and knees are taxes.” IfObamacare is not repealed, it will rake in $20 billion over the next decade.
  • A tax on health insurance. Beginning in 2014, there will be a $60 billion tax on health insurance that will be felt in higherpremiums. A typical family of four will have to spend nearly $1,000 a year.
  • A tax on drugs. If you think prescription drugs are expensive now, some drug makers have already begun to raise prices.
  • A tax on medical savings accounts. You will no longer be able to use these tax-free accounts to purchase over-the-counter drugs, forcing people to purchase drugs such as Claritin, aspirin or Advil at a cost that is 30% higher for a middle-class family. Contributions to such accounts will be capped at $2,500.
  • A tax on becoming ill. Today’s tax law allows you to deduct medical expenses up to 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. Obamacare increases this to 10%, making your future deductions smaller. It became effective this year for people under 65 years of age and goes into effect in 2017 for those 65 and older. Obama will be out of office by then. He won’t care even if you do.
  • Additional taxes. The Medicare payroll tax will increase by almost one-third for some people, rising from 2.9% today to 3.8& on wages over $200,000 for an individual and $250,000 for a couple. An additional 3.8% Medical payroll tax will be levied on investment income (capital gains, interest, and dividend income) at some income levels. The “rich” will pay more, but in effect this impacts most of the middle class.
Benjamin Domenech, Managing Editor of Heartland Institute’s Health Care News, recently reported that the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has concluded that “Obamacare is going to be more expensive than the Obama administration thought, disrupt the marketplace more than they thought, and be tougher to implement than they thought.”
Recalling that Hillary Clinton was put in charge of similar healthcare changes during her husband’s administration where the effort failed, if she were elected in 2016, you can be sure she would retain Obamacare. It can be repealed only if Republicans control both houses of Congress, so the midterm elections in 2014 are critical.
Domenech reported that the CBO has concluded that the insurance exchanges that are part of Obamacare and are supposed to be up and running by next January will cost more than $1 trillion through 2022, a dramatic increase over the original budget forecast of $814 billion. Incredible disruptive, more employees will be dropped from their existing plans and fewer uninsured people will get coverage. With somewhere between 23 and 26 million Americans already out of work, millions more will join their ranks as companies cut their payrolls.

This is how a country goes broke

According to the Government Accountability Office (GAO), Obamacare will add $6.2 trillion to the federal deficit. Recall that in September 2009 Obama promised that “I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits—either now or in the future.” Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) said, “This is how a country goes broke.”
For these and a host of other reasons, people will curse Barack Obama as the full impact of his signature piece of legislation, his primary means of “transforming America” begins to affect Americans, some of whom will either be denied or be unable to afford medical treatment. They will die.
Obama has already transformed America from the world’s superpower to a debtor nation whose credit rating has been lowered, whose national defense capabilities have been reduced, and whose governance is guided by the absurd belief that humans cause and control the climate.
Barack Obama has four more years to work his will and future historians will conclude that Americans twice elected a President who hates them and their nation.

Detroit protesters vow ‘civil disobedience’ in opposition to city’s emergency manager

Hundreds of well-organized demonstrators vowing “civil disobedience” will greet Michigan Republican Gov. Rick Snyder’s visit to Cobo Hall in Detroit Monday for an economic summit in order to protest Snyder’s selection of a powerful “emergency manager” to save the city of Detroit from bankruptcy.
On Thursday, Snyder appointees on a three-person panel confirmed African-American lawyer Kevyn Orr as the city’s “emergency manager,” a powerful position that gives him authority to restructure the city’s finances and change labor contracts while the all-black elected city council sits on the sidelines. The move, facilitated by Snyder, has sparked charges of racial animus and “anti-democracy” against the governor.
“It’s obvious that race played into this decision,” Rev. Charles Williams III, the head of the Michigan affiliate of Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, told The Daily Caller.  “There may be some voter suppression behind it.”

“We’re going to educate and also escalate,” Williams said about the planned protest. “Between us and all the people from UAW [United Auto Workers], there should be hundreds. There’s going to be action, and escalation around some civil disobedience.”
“You won’t even know it until it happens,” he continued, when asked what kinds of civil disobedience Snyder should expect. “There are plenty of people committed to going to jail. We’ve been doing traffic slowdowns. We’re going to push that up and go ahead with a full traffic stop.”
Williams confirmed that Sharpton has been very involved in his group’s efforts in Detroit. Williams met with protest organizers Saturday at Detroit’s King Solomon Baptist Church on 14th Street, where, he pointed out, Malcolm X delivered his 1963 “Message to the Grassroots” speech criticizing non-violent civil rights groups.
“Maybe we won’t take it to the level of the ’60s riots, but this thing is escalating,” Williams said.

While supporters of the emergency manager say that Orr’s appointment is the “only option” for a city racked last year with a $327 million budget deficit and $14 billion in long-term liabilities, others see it as a civil rights issue.
“Obviously [Orr] is a black proxy for the governor,” Williams said. “Detroit is 84 percent African-American, and this is an obvious opportunity for Snyder to utilize this man as an Uncle Tom, quite frankly.”
Orr previously served as a partner at the Jones Day law firm, resigning last week to accept his appointment with the city of Detroit. Snyder declared Detroit to be in a state of financial emergency March 1. Though the City Council appealed Snyder’s decision on March 12 in an effort to enact its own recovery plan, Detroit Mayor Dave Bing did not join the appeal and consented to the appointment of an emergency manager.
Bing announced last Monday that the city had hired Jones Day, Orr’s firm, as restructuring counsel.
At the Michigan state capitol in Lansing, tensions are high between Republicans who support Snyder’s emergency turnaround plan and Democrats who fear Orr’s wide-ranging power.
“We had our meeting with the treasurer before it was announced. We said we hear [Snyder is] interviewing people. If the decision hasn’t been made about whether you’re going ahead with an emergency manager, why is he interviewing people?,” Democratic state Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who represents part of Detroit, told TheDC.
“At this point, it’s out of the hands of the legislature, the city council, and the mayor,” Tlaib said.
Orr’s success or failure will likely rest on his own judgment and decisions alone, given the power usually afforded emergency managers.
“[Synder's] treasurer Andy Dillon said ‘we have a tendency not to micromanage emergency managers,’” Tlaib said.
“When I had an issue with the Detroit public schools, which was under emergency management, I presented it to the emergency manager of the Detroit schools, and they were not responsive. I contacted Andy Dillon and he said, ‘we don’t micromanage the emergency managers, we stay out of all that.’”

What’s happening in Cyprus should send a chill over the entire world Socialists ready to make power grab of world citizens’ money

Get your money out of the banks.Due to an “emergency deal reached today in Brussels”,  a one-time 9.9% tax is to be levied on Cypriot bank deposits of more than 100,000 euros effective Tuesday, March 19.
Virtually overnight and with no warning of any kind,  the emergency tax deal was imposed on the people of Cyprus without vote or debate.  People ran to ATM machines today only to discover that the taxed amount of their cash had already been frozen.
or Obama are circulating?
Monday in Cyprus is a national holiday, the first day of Greek Orthodox Easter.
Nor is this emergency only inflicted upon the so-called rich as even deposits under 100,000 euros will now be taxed at 6.7%.
“If it can happen in Cyprus, it can happen anywhere,” worried British correspondent Anna Grayson told Canada Free Press (CFP) in an overseas telephone call today.
“Is this why the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has purchased millions of hollow point bullets, is this why rumors of an underground bunker being built for Obama are circulating?
The bottom line of the Cyprus story is that politicians are forcing a new 10 billion euro bailout—to be paid directly from the bank accounts of ordinary people.
The people of Cyprus, most of whom never saw this coming,  never had a chance.  Without social media they would not have known their accounts were frozen as of today.
People poured into the streets, making a run on ATM machines.  A crowd of around 150 protesters massed in front of the presidential palace late in the afternoon at the beginning of the three-day religious holiday on the island.
Cyprus is the fifth country to seek a bailout following Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Spain but the terms of the deal are a radical departure from previous schemes.
No one will escape the bailout deal which will apply to everyone from pensions to Russian oligarchs, who are alleged to have billions stashed away in what officials claim is a bloated Cypriot banking sector. (Sky News, March 16, 2013).)
The blueprint laid by cunning EU Socialist finance ministers comes at a time when the USA is being led by a Socialist president.
This is how the EU robbed the people of Cyprus:
Banks first cooperated with the EU by sealing off the amount of the proposed levy—a 6.75 percent tax on deposits under €100,000 and 9.9 percent on those above —making it impossible for depositors to access their full amount.  The only means bank customers have left is the ability to draw from the rest of their funds via ATM machines this weekend. Many depositors made their way to the machines on Saturday to drain their accounts.  But the few banks that opened on Saturdays did so only briefly, and no international transfers will be able to go through until Tuesday, with Monday being the holiday. Cyprus’ Parliament is expected to meet Sunday to pass the required legislation., or after the deed was done. The deal also needs the approval of several eurozone parliaments; at the time of writing it was unclear how fast they can act and what will happen to bank deposits in the meantime.
What’s happening in Cyprus should send a chill over the entire world.
Politicians working with complicit big banks need no rule of law; no parliament debates to close in on the bank accounts of average people.
Get your money out of the banks wherever you are, and do it as soon as possible.

Cyprus Nails DEPOSITORS?!--THIS WILL SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF YOU

BRUSSELS—Depositors in Cypriot banks will be hit with a one-off tax on their savings, as part of a €10 billion ($12.96 billion) bailout for the Mediterranean island from the euro zone and the International Monetary Fund.
The deal, announced early Saturday, marks the first time in the euro zone's five-year-old financial crisis that depositors in bloc's banks will lose money. Accounts with more than €100,000 will be taxed at 9.9%, those with less at 6.75%, raising an expected €5.8 billion for the near-bankrupt nation.
Taxed?  Like hell that's a tax.  That's direct confiscation of the funds of people who did nothing wrong!
Oh, and if you think this is something you can get around?  Think again:
Mr. Sarris said the Cypriot Parliament would adopt the taxes over the weekend and the money would be extracted from accounts before banks take up business Tuesday. Monday is a public holiday.
They have blocked electronic transfers over the weekend too.
Now let's see if the Cypriots go for it, or if there is an instant uprising.
The EU, of course, claims this is a "special situation."  Like hell it is, never mind that this is basically imposed from the outside.
And they have the balls to call it a "contribution."
I call it what it is -- theft for the purpose of "making whole" those who did wrong, while they skate on their offenses.  Those who were in a regulatory role and should have put a stop to it (like Bernanke over here, or for that matter the OCC when it comes to the London Whale) while the people get screwed to the wall.
The argument for this "action" is that Cyprus, which is a whopping 0.2% of the Eurozone economy, is of "systemic importance" to the whole.  Therefore when someone (or a few someones) do something outrageously risky and blow up their banks, it is the people, not the malefactors, who take it up the chute.
Now we shall see if any of the following two things happen:
  • Justice is imposed by the people so-assessed.

    and

  • The people realize that this is not a "one-off" and it can happen to them -- and they act in a protective fashion up front rather than take the risk (how do you spell "bank run"?)

Meet The New US Petroleum Pipelines-- warren buffet

Still confused why crony capitalist #1, the "rustic" Octogenarian of Omaha, and Obama tax advisor #1, Warren Buffett has been aggressively attempting to corner the railroad market, while the administration relentlessly refuses to allow assorted new petroleum pipelines from America's neighbor to the north to cross through the US (in gratitude for the former's generous "tax advice" and pedigree by association)? Hint: it's not concern about the environment. The answer is the chart below.

DEAR AMERICA: Things Are Falling Apart In Egypt

DEAR AMERICA: Things Are Falling Apart In Egypt

I have been in correspondence with a thirty-something college-educated woman who lives in Cairo with her family.
I've had her identity independently verified. Until now, she was reluctant to have her story published, and still asks we not use her name.
But things are getting bad over there and she wants American to know.
Here's a letter from Egypt:
____________________________________
I'm very frustrated. I'm angry. We're seeing total security vacuum in some places in Cairo - total absence of security forces (police); non-stop clashes and deaths spilling out from Portstaid to at least 2 more governorates.
Too many deaths — protesters and policemen and military. The police are cracking down on protesters and in other places they're absent and thugs are controlling the streets in downtown and in front of Semiramis Hotel. And we're seeing severe shortage of solar, which is causing awful traffic jams almost everywhere and strikes by taxi and truck drivers.
Muslim Brotherhood (MB) students are losing in student university union elections — they won in two universities but lost in several other places.
Why is the USA giving any money to Egypt? Why does Obama Administration still support the MB?
The government is ignoring the events and protests; the Interior Ministry is heavily involved in what's happening and they too are angry because of casualties among them.
Something wrong is going on. Why is the USA silent?
Do they want another Syria? Obama doesn't know that this atmosphere helps homegrown extremists to do what they want inside and outside the country?
Some newspapers criticize Morsi and his government and policies, but that's not enough. Why did the US use harsh language with Mubarak and not doing the same with Morsi?
What kind of experience do the MB have to run the country? Did you hear about the "Powers of Attorney" by tens of citizens in Portsaid and other places for General Al-Sisi to run the country?
It is all too much to bear, believing that nobody, anywhere, really cares.
Another email a few hours after the previous:
It's been also said that members of the police force in another Governorate called Daqahliya have taken off their police uniforms and threw them on the floor, something that we saw during the January 25 revolution. They now in a sit-in opposite the Security Building in Mansoura (the capital/ main city in Daqahliya).
This violence will only escalate and will not stop before the parliamentary elections. (3/6/13 - now looks like those elections are cancelled) Of course the officials and particularly those in the Freedom and Justice Party want to restore calm before the elections. The opposition (The Salvation Front) decided to boycott the elections but other parties will participate.
We're not seeing any hope. Nothing good is happening. We don't understand what's happening. We ask ourselves - who are those people defying the security forces and attacking them? Why are our youth kidnapped and then turn up shot or killed in hospitals? It's getting harder by the day. We're only expecting economic conditions to worse and security situation to deteriorate...
It's so saddening - We're tried of seeing funerals and we're sick of the police forces firing tear gas at people in funerals. Our opposition might be weak and divided but that doesnt mean that we get ignored like this.
We're waiting for the dreaded March 9 - next Saturday. It's the day the court should issue a verdict on the famous stadium massacre in Portsaid where over 70 people were slaughtered.
Question - if this goes on, how would people go out to vote in the elections? How safe is it going to be? Who wants to give their vote to the MB? Who wants them here anymore? I know that many people don't want them. Even those who voted for them before; they regret it now.

White House employs three calligraphers with combined salary of $277,050

Despite the closing the doors to public tours because of sequester cuts, the White House continues to employ three calligraphers, with the “chief calligrapher” making $96,725.
Patricia Blair, the chief calligrapher, has two deputies — Debra Brown, earning $85,953 and Richard Muffler, earning $94,372, The Weekly Standard reported.
The White House has made no announcement to scale back on calligraphers, despite sequester cuts.
Calligraphers are needed for the preparation of invitations, placards, citations and White House awards, created by hand, according to the White House.

UF Researcher: Mega mosquitoes set to invade Central Fla.

Researchers say mosquito is 20 times the size of normal mosquito

Mega mosquitoes to invade Central Fla.
ORLANDO, Fla. -
Mega mosquitoes known as gallinippers could invade Central Florida this summer as flood waters from tropical storms force the larvae to hatch this hurricane season.

Entomologists at the University of Florida say the mosquitoes are 20 times the size of a typical mosquito, about the size of a quarter.
They also pack a painful bite, according to UF entomologist Phil Kaufman. He calls the species "notoriously aggressive."

The best way to protect against these super-sized mosquitoes is to wear bug spray with DEET and cover up as best as possible.

Gallinippers were spotted last year in Florida after Tropical Storm Debbie doused the state, but scientists predict they'll make an appearance again this summer.

According to Kaufman and his team one good thing about these mosquitoes is that they aren't known to carry any viruses that could be harmful to humans.

Still people who enjoy the outdoors are not looking forward to the insects.
"That kind of makes the summer not that exciting. I'm not looking forward to that anymore," said Stephanie McNatt.
