First, kudos for Senator Paul’s willingness to visit and engage with the (often) ultra liberal “I am a victim” student body of Howard University. Second, watch this great example of a respectful and equally thoughtful Rand Paul gently swipe aside the silly “I want more” mantra voiced by this college freshman, while also taking the time to inform the young man as to how a government and the economy actually needs to work. If the senator possibly swayed but a handful of students to at least consider the possibility that so much of what they have been taught is open to scrutiny, his visit was time well spent.
