Already makes plans to violate terms of Obamatrade...

Well, that didn’t take long.
Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Chamber of Commerce) told anyone who would listen that giving Barack Obama the extraordinary grant of power known as Trade Promotion Authority would actually enable Congress to control the president as he negotiates so-called free trade agreements.
Gullible senators and House members approved fast track legislation listing objectives for Obama to pursue in the negotiations, even as it terminated Congress’ ability to amend whatever agreement Obama brings home.
Exactly one day after Obama signed the legislation, he announced he has no intention of obeying Congress.
In the fast track bill, Congress says the U.S. cannot pursue a trade agreement with any countries that boycott “Israel or persons doing business in Israel or Israeli-controlled territories.”
But after Obama put his signature on it, the administration revealed it would disregard the law, saying it “runs counter to longstanding U.S. policy towards the occupied territories, including with regard to settlement activity.”
Never mind what Congress wants. Obama would rather side with Israel’s terrorist enemies who have sworn to use every means – diplomatic, commercial and military – to wipe Israel off the map.
So what do Paul Ryan and the rest of the Obamatrade cheerleaders have to say, now that it’s clear the president is not “constrained by Congress” as they said he would be? Just what you would expect from the spineless enablers who call themselves Republicans: nothing.
But the history of Israel tells us more than how Obama lies to Congress: The so-called “free trade” agenda at the heart of the Trans-Pacific Partnership violates the Word revealed to Moses.
What is misleadingly called “free trade” envisions a world in which people, goods and money flow freely without borders. This is the goal of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, just as it is the foundation of that grandest of free trade agreements, the European Union.
It is a utopian vision. Like communism and other utopian schemes, it is anti-human. Humans by nature identify with family, community and nation.
We are told in the story of Exodus, “the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.” (Deuteronomy 7:8)
G-d did not bring the children of Israel out of Egypt to be part of the “global economy.” He brought his children forth to be “a nation one in the earth”: “Thou didst establish to Thyself Thy people Israel to be a people unto Thee for ever” (2 Samuel 7:24). At that time, Egypt was effectively “the global economy,” and the Israelites were to be no part of it. They answered to Higher Authority.
But the free trade social engineers, to succeed in their project, seek to abolish nations and all the touchstones of nations: culture, family and citizenship. All three now face a coordinated assault.
So-called “free trade” proponents attack national culture in a number of ways. Promoting local choice is considered an illegal “restraint of trade,” as we saw when the World Trade Organization outlawed labels telling Americans where their food is raised. Using your tax dollars to promote local industry and farms with Buy American and Buy Local preferences is verboten under Obamatrade. Making films to sell in China as well as Chicago, Hollywood avoids promoting Western values – or any values at all other than negative ones such as sex and violence.
In the name of “freedom,” the biological reality of a mother and father has been divorced from family. In America, the two-parent American family, in which one breadwinner can provide for all, is a rapidly receding memory. Abroad, young women working as maids and nannies for Saudi and Persian Gulf princes send money home, and never see their own children.
The free trade corporatist quest for foreign guest workers does more than tear families and communities apart: It eviscerates the concept of citizenship. A citizen belongs to a nation and has rights therein, including the opportunity to rise to property-owning independence. A “guest worker” has no rights – only the obligation to work for the paymaster that sponsors him. The “free flow of people” sees people as interchangeable cogs in an economic machine, having no ties to family or soil. It is the “freedom” to work any place on earth – and to belong to no place.
Foreign guest workers are the modern-day bondmen of the Bible – slaves. They are bound to their jobs as surely as were the Israelites in Goshen. With an outstretched arm and a mighty hand, the Lord brought the Israelites out of Egypt and made them an independent nation.
Today, Barack Obama would use his outstretched pen and phone and the mighty fast track power given him by Congress to sacrifice our nation to the false gods of the global economy.
It is telling that he began by turning his back on Israel.
